Control the environmental Impact of its operations

  • Continual investment in new equipment fitted with Euro 2 specification engines brings the following benefits:
    • Lower emissions of smoke and particulates i.e. nitrates of oxygen, hydro-carbons, carbons.
    • Reduce in noise levels.
    • Increased MPG

  • Conform to speed limits by fitting speed limiters.
  • Restricting vehicles to motorways/major roads avoiding urban areas where possible.
  • Parking vehicles at the operating centres or approved LGV parks.
  • Specifying "road friendly" air suspension on trailers which reduces road damage and decreases noise.

Conserve and protect scarce resources

  • Improve MPG through scheduled maintenance.
  • Ensuing fuel injection system operates effectively.
  • Ensuing free operation of tracking.
  • Eliminating binding brakes and joints.
  • Recycle waste oil from servicing.
  • Fitting of air flow management kits on tractor and trailer fronts.
  • Improvements in tyres lead to reduced drag, improved MPG, longer life, reduced noise.
  • Specifying trailer floors with composite materials from sustainable timber sources reducing use of hard woods.

  • Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (ULSD) results in up to 18% reduction in particulate emissions and 75% reduction in sulphur dioxide emissions.

  • Protection of fuel injectors against deposit formation.

  • Anti-foam additive brings a quicker, more complete fill-up, with less spillage.
